*From the above amount, you must also subtract the miner fee (known as the gas fee), which is required to validate each transaction on the Ethereum blockchain, ensuring it is correctly recorded and included in a block.
For transactions on layer-2 networks, such as Arbitrum and Optimism, the average fee is approximately $0.50. On the Polygon network, the fee averages $0.20.
The average miner fee for Ethereum on the ETH network can be higher, ranging from approximately $1 to $80. You can check this fee on the Etherscan.io website. Keep in mind, however, that Bitcoin ATM may increase the fee displayed on Etherscan to $2–$160, which is due to the transaction processing mechanisms in Bitcoin ATMs. On the Arbitrum and Optimism networks, the fee is approximately $1, and on the Polygon network—approximately $0.10. You can check all these fees before the transaction on the Bitcoin ATM screen or on Mempool.space.
If you want to make a small test transaction for a smaller amount, it’s better, for example, to sell USDT on TRC20 for cash. In that case, the miner fee is either nonexistent or amounts to a maximum of about $0.50.
